Product Reviews

Izziwotnot's Bailey Sleigh cot bed isn't the cheapest, but it's stylish and well-constructed. It's simple to put together, even though it requires two people. It looks lovely in any nursery. Our panel loved the dark wood and the dowel sides, and is sturdy enough to be used until your baby becomes a toddler. It also complies with British safety standards - the depth isn't that deep that your child could climb out and the distance between the slats should not be more than 65mm. This should prevent their head from being trapped. You will also need to buy a mattress, which costs an additional PS88.

The cot stands out because of its shape-shifting sleigh design. It's also very easy to get your baby inside and out of, which is a big benefit. It's a little bit more expensive than other cot beds, however our panel felt it was worth the extra cash for its appearance and durability.

The cot bed is available in country pine or walnut finishes. It can be used from the moment of birth. It includes three mattress heights so that you can start off your child high, making it easier for them to access during the day or night. Then lower it as they grow older. It comes with teething rails that protect your child's furniture and gums. When your child is out of the cot bed it is able to be easily converted to a junior bed and then an ottoman.

Silver Cross' westport design is another cot that has a solid feel and is constructed to last. It can be used as a cot from birth, later as an infant bed, and then as a junior bed (toddler guard rails are available separately). Our panel found it difficult to convert from cot to bed but their other half of them said it was easy and took less than five minutes to complete. It's also slightly more expensive than other cots, however it's the kind of design that you'd probably want to keep and use for your children as they grow.
